Edward White – Owner
Building is in Eddy’s blood, with a family history of builders, going back over three generations in his family. On his father’s side, his great-grandfather, grandfather and father were all builders, while on his mother’s side, his grandfather was a fine woodworker and cabinet maker.
Eddy naturally worked in building and construction once finishing high school. Throughout his building career, Eddy has worked across a range of projects; including renovations, new builds, constructing small office blocks, residential builds - from modest family homes to million-dollar houses, and he even helped build the rugby stadium in Invercargill. Eddy loves building as it keeps him moving, and every day is different.
He finished his building apprenticeship with Lyndon Moffitt Building, in Te Anau, in 2010. Since then, Eddy has gained a wealth of experience in the building industry and even built his family home in Dunedin. Along with renovations, new builds and outdoor areas, Eddy has completed a lot of custom built projects for clients, with exposed beams, customised bookshelves and wooden kitchen tops.
Eddy started Edward White Builders at the start of 2017. The business has grown from strength to strength and in 2018, Eddy took on an apprentice. Eddy’s approachability, attention to detail and professionalism have seen the business continue to grow. He’s proud to be running his own business and providing his customers with quality workmanship and advice.
